Padlet Review

Padlet is a web 2.0 tool that is widely used all around the world. Simply put, its an app used to create online dashboards. You are able to add content to these dashboards such as texts, visuals, videos and edit them as you see fit. The best part about it is that you can do all this interactively with your students or co-workers.

But how to use such an app? Well, padlet is an extremely easy app to use and navigate in. The first step is to go to "padlet.com" and create an account which you will then need to activate. After creating and activating your account, you will need to create your own dashboard. And by sharing the link of your dashboard with your students, you will be able to work interactively from this point on.

There are also many advantages to using this interactive tool. Other than the saving of time and space which are the most obvious, there is also the fact that Padlet is an app that can be downloaded to your mobile devices. While many apps similar to padlet are not compatible with mobile devices, you can just download padlet to your tablet or mobile phone and attend to it wherever you are and whenever you want. The content you create or want to create collaboratively is as far as a link or QR code. Adding features to your published content is as easy as it gets. Even a new person to padlet can easily navigate in it and understand its functions.

As for what can be truly done in padlet; there is a lot more to it than you think. For example you can get instant feedback from your students, make various exercises for them to practice and improve, get ideas of all sorts etc. This feature can also help with governing business and getting ideas from co-workers in a subject. For one, think that your co-workers are not available for a meeting as of the moment, but via padlet you can create a dashboard and ask your co-workers to add their points of view to that dashboard. Which in turn allows them to go on with their businesses and not occupy their schedule.

Other examples to the uses of Padlet could be asking questins to students or getting ideas for their future social activities. Or make a brainstorm about a certain subject and see what your students think about it. There is much more to the uses of padlet that can't be shrinked to a page of my blog. So what i ask of you to do is that go on and explore, see what more padlet has to offer and have fun!
